Delaney's crew strikes gold with smallmouth and drum near Buffalo!

One for the books today! Delaney and their crew joined me for a summer late afternoon session on the water around Buffalo. Partly cloudy skies made for comfortable conditions as we headed out for our Lake Erie or Niagara River Fishing Adventures Private Morning or Afternoon 4 Hour Charter with Just Fish Guide Service. With our gear rigged and ready, we focused on trolling, bottom fishing, and casting with lures to work the productive waters. The crew landed some solid Smallmouth Bass along with Freshwater Drum and Black Drum throughout the trip. Buffalo's waters are perfect for this mix of techniques - the structure and current breaks hold fish consistently, and switching between trolling and bottom fishing keeps the action steady. We wrapped up the afternoon with great catches and good times all around. Just Fish Guide Service runs these 4-hour charters targeting the productive waters where Smallmouth Bass, Freshwater Drum, and Black Drum are regularly caught. Feisty Smallmouth Unleash Blitz in Buffalo's Tranquil Harbor Waters

It was a cool and partly cloudy morning when Chris and their crew joined me for a Fishing Charter Buffalo NY | Private Morning or Afternoon 4 Hour Charter on the waters of the Port of Buffalo Small Boat Harbor. May is a prime time for lake fishing in this area, as the warming waters bring the Smallmouth Bass into the shallows, making for some excellent action. We met up bright and early at the Port of Buffalo Small Boat Harbor and got our gear ready to hit the water. Despite the light rain, the conditions were shaping up nicely - the water looked great, and you could feel the fish moving underneath. We started the day drifting the shoreline, working a variety of lures and baits to see what the Smallmouth Bass were keying in on. It didn't take long before the first rod started bending, and Chris was into a feisty Smallmouth that put up a great fight. We kept at it, working different spots and finding a consistent pattern, and the group was soon reeling in Smallmouth Bass one after the other. The weather may have been a bit dreary, but the fishing was anything but. The Smallmouth were aggressive and hungry, smashing our baits with authority and giving us some excellent battles. In between catching fish, we had the chance to take in the scenic Port of Buffalo Small Boat Harbor, watching the activity on the water and enjoying the peaceful vibe. Even when the rain picked up, the fish kept biting, and we had a blast staying on them. If you're looking to experience the best Lake Erie or Niagara River fishing has to offer, book your Fishing Charter Buffalo NY | Private Morning or Afternoon 4 Hour Charter with Just Fish Guide Service. Whether you're after hard-fighting Smallmouth Bass like we found today, or want to target other species, we know these waters inside and out and will make sure you have an unforgettable day on the water. The fish are biting, the scenery is beautiful, and the company is always great - what more could you ask for? Give us a call today and let's get you out on the water for an adventure you won't soon forget.

Drifting for Trout on the Scenic Buffalo Lake fishing report coverpicture

Adrenaline-Fueled Pursuit of Trout on Buffalo Lake's Serene Waters

We started the day drifting with beads, targeting both Rainbow Trout and brown trout. It wasn't long before David's rod doubled over, and he was into a nice Trout that put up a spirited fight. We got that one in the boat and kept working the area, finding a few more Trout willing to hit our baits. The action stayed steady, with us adding a few more fish to the cooler throughout the morning.

Even on a day when the fish aren't biting as aggressively, these creek trips are always a good time. We had great company, the scenery was beautiful, and it was just nice to be out on the water enjoying the day. That's what makes these trips special—not just the number of fish you catch, but the overall experience of being out there with good people, taking in the sights and sounds of the lake.

If you're looking to experience some of the best lake fishing the Buffalo, NY area has to offer, be sure to book a Fishing Charter Buffalo NY | Private Morning or Afternoon 4 Hour Charter with Just Fish Guide Service. Whether you're an experienced angler or just looking to get out on the water for a fun day, we'll make sure you have an unforgettable time chasing Trout, Walleye, and more. So give us a call, let's get you out on the water, and create some lasting memories on the lake!

Electrifying Battles with Trophy Smallmouth on the Niagara River and Lake Erie

It was a cool and cloudy morning as I headed out with David Lord for a private fishing charter on the waters of Lake Erie and the Niagara River near North Tonawanda, NY. April is a fantastic time for targeting Smallmouth Bass in these parts, as the fish become more active with the warming waters. Despite the overcast skies, the conditions were shaping up to be quite favorable for an exciting day on the water. We launched the boat and started drifting, working various sections of the lake and river using a combination of live bait and artificial lures. It didn't take long before David's rod bent over, and he set the hook into a feisty Smallmouth Bass. The fish put up a spirited fight, stripping line and making powerful runs, but David kept his cool and carefully worked it to the net. After a quick photo, we released the bass back to the water unharmed. This pattern continued throughout the morning, with David hooking into several more Smallmouths, as well as a few Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout mixed in. The action was steady, and we had a great time working the lake and river for these hard-fighting gamefish. Between the flurries of activity, we took in the scenic views and enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere. Despite the overcast skies, the rain and snow held off, making for a comfortable day on the water. It was the perfect blend of excellent fishing and simply taking in the beautiful natural surroundings. If you're looking to experience the best of Lake Erie and Niagara River fishing, I highly recommend booking a private charter with Just Fish Guide Service.
